2016 Reflections

With another year winding down, the time has to come to reflect on the days gone by.

Spring couldn't come soon enough for me this year.

The gentle coos of a mourning dove proved to be music to my winter weary soul.

I celebrated the official arrival of Spring by refreshing the family room.

I continued my journey with a plant-based diet and shared some delicious recipes.

And finally, I shared about the loss of our Charlie Boy.

The loss of our Charlie Boy hit me hard. I sense him still and catch myself reaching out for him, only to realize he's just not there. I have to remind myself that the privilege of having him far outweighs the pain of losing him.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
~ Anatole France

Reflecting on the year shows me that, it's the simple moments that hold my most cherished memories.
